I love the start of a new year. Mostly because I'm definitely one of those "Monday" type of girls.
Everything resets itself, in my mind anyway, on a Monday. I like to start diets on Monday... I clean house on Monday... I promise to exercise on Monday... So when a total new year rolls around I get so excited to "start fresh" again. Basically, since last August I have been saying that when 2011 rolls around I would start blogging again. Because that's just me. Haha. So here I am! My main purpose of blogging is now to replace my crappy scrapbooking skills and keep a journal/scrapbook that I can print at the year end. I am so behind on scrapbooking... I just finished Anna's blessing book. Oh geez. Don't even get me started. I'm embarrassed. So instead of trying to catch up all the time and still be forever behind. I'm going to still catch up but really start keeping track of what is happening in our lives so I can remember these moments.
This year has started out super busy. Clayton is Kanab's JV coach so he is pretty busy with work and basketball. He is the kid's favorite. He is such a fun dad and plays with the girls like he's a little kid too. We always joke that he's the "fun" parent and I'm the strict one. It's like Phil and Claire on Modern Family. Anna is in dance, gymnastics and preschool plus plays with friends constantly. Anna is still miss attitude but I love it. She keeps me on my toes and is pretty fun to just hang out with. We got a Kinect for Christmas from my parents and we love to play Dance Central. I am constantly begging Anna to play with me and I think she gets a little tired of it. If she's not hanging with friends she is standing on her head. She absolutely loves gymastics and is getting pretty good. Carol Gilberg has been an awesome teacher. I love watching her and her class. Carsyn spends her mornings with Grandma Lydia while I work. She is a little sweetheart. She LOVES her grandma Lydia. She will be one soon and is starting to take a few steps on her own. She's such a little talker. Her first word was "Anna". Which was soooo cute. I think she said Anna first because that is basically what she hears all day long. Me or Clayt yelling Anna. Haha. Anyway, she also says her own forms of "Icey" (Chase's dog), "Bob-Bob" (Spongebob) "Hi Dad" and "Mama". She's very busy but we are use to that with Anna. We have always just had superactive kids. Maybe I should lay off the mountain dew while pregnant. I always said it never affected me.... but I'm starting to second guess. :)
The weather has been great in Kanab this past week. We have gone to the park twice and it's nice to see a glimpse of what summer is like again. :) I am not a winter girl. Carsyn loves the swings and Anna loves to push her. They are really starting to play good together. I love it. A lot of pics are taken from my cell phone and so they are not high quality but they still work. :) Well I'm proud of myself. Good job Lex. The end of blogging for now.
